How To Unlock AT&T iPhones [Off-Contract]

Few days ago the U.S. operator AT&T claims the official will provide free unlock services to iPhone users whose two-year contract expired, if your contract has not expired, it does not matter, you just make up the remaining costs to apply for the official unlock. Now AT&T has started unlocking those iPhones which are off contract.

Currently, the AT&T official given several unlock ways for the contract iPhones:

1. The U.S. local user can directly go to the AT&T retail stores, to find customer for help. You can simply dial +1-800-288-2020 to contact AT&T support staff.

2. Call the AT&T customer phone to apply unlock with AT&T customer.

3. Log on the AT & T network support page to apply for unlock

How To Unlock AT&T iPhones

Step 1: Go to Settings > General > About and from this page write down your IMEI number.

Step 2: With your IMEI number handy you will need to head on over to AT&T’s online chat support page by clicking here. You will then need to login to your account, and then click the Chat Now link next to technical support.

If you not have an AT&T account, you can sign up by clicking here.

Step 3: When you begin talking to an AT&T representative you will simply need to tell them that you would like to unlock your out of contract iPhone. Additionally, you will also need to give them your IMEI number which you wrote down earlier. When the AT&T representative has this information he will be able to determine if you are eligible for the free unlock.

Step 4: If all goes well you will be asked for your email address so they can send you more details about how to proceed in about a week or so when your unlock request goes through. From here you will simply need to wait it out until you receive a follow-up email that will include further instructions.

They will review the status of your iPhone (whether breach, the contract expired) At present, the admissibility of the request processing takes about a week, then AT&T will send notification email to your mailbox, and provide the unlock key and operation method. You just need to simply do it according to the method to unlock your iPhone.

Note: The above three ways all need to provide the IMEI code.

How to check IMEI on iPhone:

iPhone About screen displays your iPhone serial number,IMEI, and ICCID. To open your iPhone About screen go to Settings > General > About from your iPhone home screen. You will need to scroll down a bit to see IMEI and serial number.
