We all know that the progress of existing jailbreak only stays in iOS 6.1.2, and 6.1.3 just has a tethered jailbreak and only available on iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod touch 4g. Those iPhone 5 upgraded to 6.1.4 will be temporarily locked and could not get any jailbreak supports in recent. However jailbreak community always constantly surprises. Today hacker Winocm announced that he has a binary that will perform an untether of the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak.
I now have a binary that untethers 6.1.3. Needs some more work though.
And the method has been tested on an iPhone 4 and has proved successful. It also notes that the fault no longer exists in iOS 7, or at least made clear. “It is not useful on iOS 7. I’m not interested in iOS 7. Other people interested in iOS 7. ”
Other tests must still take place to see the result on all devices. An upcoming release could therefore take place. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it is possible….
However, iOS 7 is coming, whether we should put on wish entirely on iOS 7. I think most people will elected to opt jailbreak for upgrading a new iOS 7, then accept a long wait for new jailbreak tool available.
