Recently, there are many users reflected, the App Store application frequently occur blank screen when they log in using iPad.
iMore reported that this issue has plagued many iPad users for nearly three days, few people even can not log the App Store application. Also there are some netizens said that in addition to Update page, the other functions are normal. But there are many users unaffected completely. Interestingly, App Store app working well on iPhone and iPod touch.
I Have the blank update tab on my iPad 2, iPad 3, and mini. The 2 iPhones and 2 iPod toch 5ths are fine–for now. I have tried everything mentioned on the web to no avail. Reset buttons, network reset, 188.8.131.52 DNs, shut down and wait, change date and wait, change language, change location– if it’s on the web and worked for someone else, I have tried it. Finally I emailed apple. Wrote them what I just posted above. Dude told me to try the very same nonsense I had JUST written I have ALREADY TRIED!! Then he says–if all else fails, call Apple and they will let me know my free and my pay-for-it solutions. Hmpff haven’t I already paid for it by buying all these gadgets rather than opting for the much less Android or Kindle-type toys??
Sso I update the long way for now, as someone else mentioned–by spending my time sifting through Purchased and updating 1 at a time…
Some suggestion via App Support Communities
Blank app store page
Try these things.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.
Or try this
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.

Re: App Store updates blank
The solution that worked for me looked like the other solutions others have posted with one big difference. Many had said to log off your Apple ID under settings then try the Update window to see if it helped. I originally read it as “log off the Apple ID. RELOGIN to Apple ID, then try updates.” What worked for me was when I read someone say to stay logged off the Apple ID when you check the updates.
Here is the process that worked for my iPad:1) Go to Settings -> iTunes & App Stores and tap on your Apple ID then select “log off”. 2) Go to App Store and tap on the Updates tab WITHOUT logging back into your Apple ID. (Not sure if I had the app running or had quit it and opened it fresh when I logged out of the Apple ID. )
For me though my iPad thought for a few seconds then cleared the blank screen and showed the now beautiful words “All Apps are up to date”
I had tried every recommendation on this thread previously including power down, power up, force quit App Store App, etc. except a full backup and restore before this finally worked for me. At least for now. Hopefully it sticks.
Good luck everyone, Hope this helps.
Through trial and error, I figured out the steps below provide a workaround that just began working for my and my wife’s iPad only today. Just logging in and out of iTunes (steps 1-4) or just going through Purchased (steps 5-7) didn’t work by themselves. It required logging out, logging in, shutting down, then going to Purchased.
1. Log out of Settings>iTunes and AppStore
2. Log back in.
3. Shut down iPad (home + sleep button).
4. Start iPad.
5. Go to App Store, then Purchased.
6. Go through each letter of the alphabet and update those apps one by one showing Update. (Before today, I wasn’t seeing the Update. It requires following steps #1 thru #4 first.)
7. Close out of App Store. At this point, I saw the red # disappear on the App Store icon. Blank page is still there when opening App Store>Updates, but at least the annoying red dot is gone.
Apple not give any solution for this issue, App Store blank Screen still haunts iPad users.
