Recently developer NotCom updated TinyUmbrella to v7.00.00, which added new supports for iOS 7 and iOS 7.0.1, users can use the new version of TinyUmbrella to save iOS 7.0, 7.0.1 SHSH Blobs on Windows and Mac. The new TU doesn’t bring some new changes or updates. Only support for the new firmware.
NotCom’s official blog post “I just updated TU for the 4 new iPhone 5* devices. TU supports saving SHSH for iOS 7 and 7.0.1 (for the new devices about to be released). Perhaps eventually we’ll be able to restore to these firmwares using local SHSHs but remember that currently local restores are primarily for older devices (non a5 devices and lower!).”
Why to Save iOS 7 SHSH blobs
SHSH blobs allows you to downgrade the iOS device back to a lower version, to get a usable jailbreak or smoother system. This means that when the iOS 7 jailbreak released and your device have updated to iOS 7.1, then you can use the saved SHSH blobs to downgrade it back to iOS 7.0 to get the jailbreak.
As Apple will stop signing iOS 7.0 in the future, once the new version released, then you will no longer get the iOS 7.0 SHSH blobs to the local storage. So you’d better download TinyUmbrella 7.00.00 to save your 7.0 shsh blobs right now.
